Giles for Fremont County Sheriff

About the Campaign

Fremont County deserves a Sheriff's Office grounded in integrity, accountability, and constitutional responsibility.

"No victim, no crime. We will focus on protecting the safety and property of the people of Fremont County, prioritized over revenue-driven policing."

Core Principles

The Sheriff is the chief law enforcement officer of the county, directly accountable to the people who elect them rather than to state or federal agencies. This unique position means the Sheriff has both the authority and responsibility to prioritize local concerns, uphold constitutional rights, and enforce the law with integrity.

We reflect the Wyoming values of independence, self-reliance, and personal responsibility that have long defined our communities. Fairness means applying the law consistently and without favoritism, ensuring every person is treated with equal dignity and respect under the Constitution.

Public trust depends on honest, transparent, and consistent communication between law enforcement and the community it serves. When information is shared clearly and truthfully, it helps build accountability and reduces misunderstandings between citizens and the Sheriff’s Office. That commitment to honesty also means misconduct will not be ignored or protected, and officers who violate the public’s trust will be held accountable.

Community Policing Plan

  • Protect constitutional rights in every interaction
  • Prioritize crimes against real victims
  • De-escalation and peaceful resolution first
  • Equal application of the law
  • Reject revenue-driven policing
  • Enhanced training for deputies
